First wk of Sem 2

Phew..once i start sch i seldom will hav the time n mood to write my blog..cos i am busy sorting my timetable..as first wk of sch is to go for lessons which u think u would wanna take and confirm ur timetable during the 'add-drop' period..which in NTU is a period where u can drop or add subjects in..after this period (usually lasts a wk) any subj u drop will be graded F..so dun play play..

Other than the compulsory subjects namely, Tang and Song Literature, General History of China and Critical Reading and Writing( which resembles GP in chinese), I hav taken another 2 major electives which are Chinese Theatre and Performance and The Science of Chinese Characters (which is sort of an extension of wad i learnt in sem 1-hc102)..all the subj now required more reading up..so it will be more tedious than the previous sem..

For now i gonna intro one of the modules which is Chinese Theatre and Performance: It is taught by the comical lecturer Jeffrey Tan, which is alr one good reason u shld take haha..he used to be a theatre actor since young and went to the states to study movies..he got this red baby face which is enough to make us feel entertained looking at him, even without hearing his high-pitch way of conducting lesson..hahaha..so ppl of NTU..rather than taking HL modules..i recommend u all to take HC802E which is oso conducted by him and can watch movie for every lesson..rather than doing boring literature elective which is in the compulsory module it's so much more relaxing to take his classes...another selling point of this elective (i sound like a salesperson haha) is we hav our 6th lecture free..cos we need to go buy tickets ourselves and watch 6 plays of the chinese fest at the esplanade within ab 10days, as part of our curriculum, as our lecturer oso din watch before..so this module is not cheap at all..but i think it's worth the experience..one bad point i feel is the examinations..it is gonna be the same as HC101 which requires us to write 4 essays out of 6 questions..i hope by then i will be more 'trained' up for his papers...

So well this wk is more of juz going for lectures and most let us off ab one hr earlier haha..so now i can confirmed my timetable and lessons will be in full swing plus i gonna start my part time work yet again at the chinese heritage ctr..i hope i can recover by mon..now i still having blocked nose and slight cough (which still makes me pant v easily) developed from my sore throat earlier in the wk...NTU's 8 characters are so opposed to mine..no wonder ever since I go NTU I will be sick almost every other month bleah...
