Officially a DK~~

For non-maplers..changing job meaning u hav gained another 40-50 levels n going to learn another new set of skills...
DK (Dragon Knight) is the most powerful among the 3rd jobs..aka lvl 70-120

I juz advanced so this is the ss i took..

1st one is the other dimension where i have to kill e dancing w the balrog's clone (lvl 80 monster)...this is my victory shot after i cleared in 15min ^^

2nd one is the test of wisdom..if dun answer correctly means will need to use e dark crystal again..very mafan..

3rd is the mega on maple (meaning like announcement tat everyone in the same world can see..this mega costs $3.50 real cash) oh well not everyday u job advance anw xD

Xmas in maple~

Other than the xmas village..this is the big monster tat will appear in every town every hr..

it's called NooNoo the snowman..thanksfully it only dealed 1 dmg n send u flying away lol...

i missed the fireworks..this one i solo it for so long n only got 1.5k exp ><...

i solo it 3 times (other than some noob coming near the end) and it has proven tat playing late night maple is good..

Ok...back to reality...

In order to pacify non-maple players..i have to shift some focus to my reality life ( as if u are really concerned =P)

for the past 2 wks, starting from 3rd dec which effectively was e wk right after the end of my exams, i (still) am working for my Chinese division professor on an MOE project to test the language ability of the current P3 students due to the change in curriculum...

wad we did was to first devise a formula to best analyse the language ability from the sentence structures of the compo...there're paper 1 n 2 la.. we have to make use of the linguistic knowledge to break individual sentences down n fill in the tables in order to compute n calculate a score to rank the high n low...we juz finished paper 2 analysis today n tmr moving on to paper 1 (which proves to be quite a killer)
the job is well-paying n it's fun working w our classmates..(effectively those doing analysis have to take e prof's modern chinese class first)..

so it's juz chop chop sentences down..it's mind draining lo...and i dunno if it's gonna take beyond xmas >< (i wan money n hols!!)

I am disgusted at the tot of breathing in the same space as my niece who is having chicken pox..
it is so utterly unconsiderate of her parents n my mum(who think if i kena it's fated) to still leave her at my place when i can be affected...

yes i nv kena before k..i am so scared of getting infected n now even paranoid of being at home..
i think i will have dinner after she go home..
if i kena i will blow my current job away..no need to go out at all..and of cos spend 2wks eating bland food..tat is like e least concern of my F***ing irritating mum..

all i can do now is ban her out of my room and reduce contact with her..
for once..the delight of having chicken pox is so much more than having e red spots...

我发现原来我可以安下心来读书的地方，一定要符合一些条件：

第一、它必须有奶茶（很重要哦！因为这是唯一能让我提神的饮料）
第二、它必须要有宽大的椅子（因为我坐的姿势很奇怪又爱一直动，所以要让我舒服一定要宽大）
第三、灯光充足、不能太吵且凉快（我怕冷）
第四、靠近食物以及厕所（有进就要出嘛）

其他，最好不要有电脑，因为容易让我分心。必须远离人群，我不爱听人家的谈话内容。
嗯，就是这些基本的吧，到了大三才发现有点太迟，难怪以前我读书不是睡觉就是发呆 >.<


PS: 终于考完南大的考试，该准备古代汉语了，天啊古人的话真让我想睡觉

Regained my taste...

Finally after a week of tasteless n healthy food..half of which was semi-solid food >.<
i can taste food!! yes..i initially cant even tell i am eating papaya lor...
it's horrible to be sick..esp during exam period...now craving for alot of food but appetite havent fully recover yet..(it's good staying this way anw hah)
spent one whole wk (other than gg to sch for papers) trying hard to keep awake n study before the medicine acted up n made me sleep..usually all e way till evening..

need to stay off maple for a while.. the pressure to level up is high becos my guild mates have overtaken me n i need to keep up.. but for this wk i gotta study more n pia the rest of the papers..till then i will buy 2x exp n pia till 3rd job!!

proud to say i already levelled my cleric to lvl 35 n she is holding maple staff le..
shall have a make over for my main too..warrior costume for females are so ugly XP

Last lesson at NUS

Woo time really flies...my last lesson ended at NUS...
tho the lesson is not the most interesting one but the teacher is still quite nice n module is rather slack..will miss reaching sch in 30mins' time haha...

nice knowing guizhong n his clique of guy friends..
the number of guys there is like n times more than our cohort XD

i will miss the canteen food..more variety n cheaper than NTU...esp subway which is way too cheap haha..
only regret is never go science fac n eat...

since i got the momentum going now.. yup shall do my nus presentation research too...

as of my degree audit, i still left 1 core, 4 MPE, 1 UE, 1 Sci n 1 Bus...

it's quite scary to take all chinese modules for nxt sem cos it's sure gonna be super hard and workload sure gonna kill..esp i always take 6 modules per sem..
max chinese modules i gonna take is 5..since i gonna wait for 1 level 4 module to clear..

tentatively i am going to take:
1) History of Chinese Thought ( i think all of us will be bore to death)

2) Sound and Prosody in Chinese (aka 声韵学 muz support peter!)

3) Creative Writing Workshop (seems only nana n me interested..hope we dun hav to hand up a piece of writing everywk unless he let us write crap hah)

4)Either City and Culture of Modern China or China in Asia

5) if i am ever gonna take another chinese module due to time clash for GER-PE n linguitics

today's lecture is sooooooo boring..no kidding...

Super disappointed and pissed off with the poor organisation of our red cross society..
nv improve from last year donation drive...

why introduce an appointment system for ppl to register and still made them wait thru the whole registration and check up process? dun give me excuses that ppl hav appointments too cos from wad i see most of them are without appointments..if u think u cant handle so many ppl at one time why din u set a limit for ppl to register at that time slot?

u think ppl is very free izit? this is NTU..famous for heavy human traffic...
if u dun even understand how the blood bank works then pls do ur homework before u even organise such an event in sch..
the quad as cos compared to Nanyang Audi is so damn small..yes if it clashes with the Europe fair then push back the date la..

dun understand how ppl are so inefficient and so unorganised..

ahh better update if not anyone who visit my blog will think i am very ya ya ab my recent post..
tat's one bad thing when i dun update regularly..

as usual my new shoes gave me abrasion..this time only my left food kena badly and one flap of skin came off >.<...now still recovering cos it's still quite raw so i guess i will be wearing slippers for a few days..

anw tat wedding dinner was fabulous..for those who asked me..u already knew..
the dinner consisted of cold dish with lobster salad, sharkfin (u can see bigger pieces of sharkfin instd of strands), steam fish (very very big), roast chicken(even breast meat is very tender), drunken prawns, scallops with asparagus, big mushrooms with sea cucumber (tat sea cucumber is heavenly..really melts in ur mouth), rice in lotus leaf and yam paste..
the restaurant is called peony jade juz beside liang court..

oh and the bride is very pretty.. she got a sister oso quite pretty too hahah..

Start of my hols!!

My recess officially starts today..cos my work only ended at 11.30pm yest...
still feeling abit shagged..partly due to insufficient sleep accumulation for one whole wk...

it was tiring but it was fun oso..working with all our coursemates and all e nice teachers attached to us...
interacting with them out of school and of cos seeing another side of peter outside his office n class..i think he has more confidence outside than in sch..tho he is still as polite, he sounded more decisive n clear of wad he is doing..(maybe there is no overpowering someone there?)
yes yes i think i get to know peter better..tat is he will become abit disorientated after 8pm..(think tat's bcos he went to sleep early and he keep saying he needs an apple -.-''')..and tho he dun like to eat meat, he is not a vegetarian cos he takes seafood...

I think i might have pissed the hell out of my party leader...
as I was the highest level of the party and he should be counting on me to kill alishar( the final stage)..
tot i can kill e golems as i usually can when i go down ludi tower...and so i was killed, say stage 4/5?

BUT! they are no ordinary golems..they can deal up to 7k hp damage, killing everyone instantly
(the quest is only for lv 35-50)..even having high hp like my spearman cant be saved...

then i joined another party..they wanted my hyper body but sadly i only pumped lv 6 yet..but still i can deal a great damage if i dun miss...a cleric with maxed bless is good..a noob following them ard..abit kia si so i din go in kill wad seems to be a mysterious portal haha..but they were fast so i helped w e easy ones.. finally i killed alishar(lv 59) thx to bless which up my accuracy so i dun miss tat much..gained 10% exp easily..but the final rewards for me was quite sucky..

Things are starting to get into pace since i finished my presentation phew..
was going bonkers at reading materials n trying to do up slides..

Mon: Suffering fr shock of still not finishing slides for nxt day presentation, loss of appetite n taste due to major virus attack..leaving me crying the whole wkend..even tear-ing in lec -.-'''

Tue: Came early in e morning w my stone lappie n prepare for 1st n only rehearsal before presentation..totally screwed during rehearsal..bonkers mode..did a mental skipping of lengthy words n managed to speak rather fluently w/o looking at script n controlled time well...praised by prof..happy for the whole day =)

Wed: happy mapling e night before n abit ya ya ab finishing presentation so woke up late..took a cab thinking it has passed peak hr charge (but it was not)..paid 8bucks to travel fr lakeside to NTU >.< but then prof said my presentation was not bad again when i asked ab report writing..makes my mood lifted again for the day wahaha..

Thurs: Went to cut hair at can 2...big rainy day...ate e nice fish n chips for brunch..at first v nice but somehow my taste buds cant function towards e end bleahz...
then the hairstyling auntie said i got oily scalp but dry hair...OH NO...panic...rushed to jp buy silkpro shampoo n AScience conditioner to save my lovely hair..

Fri: As usual, the rush fr S to N of sch w no break in b/w...watched 3hrs worth of Ba Wang Bie Ji..v nice show by Zhang Guo Rong (tho nana said it's creepy to watch him in this month >.<)...then finally met up w the popular ppl which consist of me, nana, klein n ah gui..went to clementi to eat botak jones..it's really nice n serving is huge..wanna try steak the nxt time hehe..
had nice chatting session but too bad it was quite short..cos ah gui hav star gazing in NUS O.o...

Bleahz today is my first day of official lessons n i am quite worned out...(partly due to my new shoes giving me blisters again >.<)

Morning lec was our core subj..really happy to see everyone back from instep and thanks to our lecturers being late we got to chat more haha..as usual our "head" managed to talk some ppl to sleep..i was abit too hyper w my friends n keep chatting away..

Met up w yf n meh meh for lunch at e quad...brought this 2 cai niao there if not they will nv find it la..then yf pei me go popular buy my textbook which e queue nv shorten so i resorted to hiding my text n coming back to buy later (if not gotta trouble e auntie to take out for me)..so nice to see so so many familiar faces la..the guys of cos..seems like alot of guys chose NTU...many went business n e rest into engine..but e school is like overflooding w ppl now!! everywhere is so so many ppl (e obvious one is Popular where alot of business n engine students rushed to buy textbooks)..

I wanted to devote an entry since thurs but due to e OT everyday i was far too tired to write...

so here i am writing a entry on the nicest colleagues i worked with so far..tho it's e toughest but it is simply e best working experience i had..

yesterday fri we ended off the last day of working together (me n nana continued till mon to finish up e rest of e pallets-so far i heard e amount we did are safe)..e last 2 wks since we were all working as a big grp we grown really close..gossiping n teasing each other n blasting music to keep us entertained thru our OT days..even tho we worked really late..i am glad we hav bonding sessions like lunching tog n dinner snacking in pantry..it's reallly so fun to hear the guys kept talking cok to keep us entertained..not to mention sabotaging each other haha...

today we gone to work in a very sian mood..main reason our big gang is no longer there n we gotta faced a grp of perms whom we spent most time gossiping ab hah..their jokes really not on same freq as us so v hard to laugh..esp hokkien jokes i doubt nana understands..but seriously if they pia..they worked as fast as 6 Calvins (if u know wad i mean)..gim mo oso super garang..but i am sure they understand how tiring n tedious our jobs are now..left monday till we say final good bye to popular warehse...

Bad mood...

Get super angry easily since sat...for a reason only someone knows..
sure got a flair at making me flare up within a few sentences...
this is not good for e heart seriously but i am so PISSED!!

Somehow i feel two of my colleagues reminded me of my JC classmates..

one is hong ge n the other is fabian..not so much in terms of looks but the way they behaved esp the way they speak..for e 'fabian' colleague..he share e same artistic talent as fab..he studies fashion design in la salle..as for 'hong ge' colleague , pro at computer (going nus for com engine)

an interesting fact i noticed: there are 4 left handers out of 11 ppl..quite a high proportion..

Recent

Been working as usual and OT for 3 consecutive days last wk n it's really v tiring...
today juz shifted up to the 3rd floor n it's much cleaner n not as prone to outside weather..the only bad thing is..it's bloody near e manager's office..Harris book fair will be doing set up tmr n alot of supervisors will hav to go down prepare..i think no OT? haha..ppl can go down suntec see too..harry potter book 6 gonna release during this book fair...

Went to watch harry potter 5 juz yest..cos as m1 users we can get half price for the 2nd tix at all cathay cineplexes, provided u are the 1st 300 customers at each outlet..so end up only 7bucks per tix..pretty worth huh..esp now i working cant go out watch too..always got OT >.<

the movie is super summarized...mayb due to the change of directors so the focus is not really the same..for ppl like me who read the book it's easier to follow..but harder for ppl who dun really know e story lo..sadly this book is a very good pre-show before the half blood bro..but they cut too much..they shld shot into 2 parts with 2hrs each..i am sure ppl will go watch lo...
rather than they cut here n there..
but i am still amazed by how much e little actors change n the realistic settings of Hogwarts =)

Off day

Dunno if today is considered a good day or not..
Bad things tat happened are aching back (due to multiple reasons) and my disrupted internet due to installation of mio before registration of subjects..i am not exactly freaked out cos i somehow predicted it ever since i gotten the notification letter that line will be disrupted..(tat customer service officer fr singtel sux like mad cos she dunno anything much less inform me of such details)..

was alr planning worse come to worse go bukit merah Mac n register..my com can last at least 2 hrs..but lucky my nephew at home so i juz go up to his place in e same block lo..but still abit slow so i missed a slot taking 303 T1..

lucky cos at least i get to rest more today..more energized for work tmr..prob gonna OT for the rest of the week since we did slackier jobs price tagging the stationary which is SO SO much lighter than books...(we still got 29 palates of chinese books to finish soon) O.O

PS: I met the starhub guy again..damn i think he smiled at me cos he recognized me..plus i saw the 16yr old gal who won the Asian games 100m swimming..wad a day

2 days of working life

hmm..dunno how i shld begin oso..
ok i am working for popular warehouse now..doing price tagging for the upcoming road show..
it is not at je store but at its really warehouse side at toh tuck rd..quite an ulu place if u dun work there..it's juz a small rd into the place..$5.50 per hr is not exactly e best pay but at least ppl i worked with makes the job enjoyable..it's pretty manual n brainless work..

basically the conditions are dusty (after touching thousands of books and so far we only did chinese books) humid n no place to sit..if we hav nth to do we cannot sit..if we hav then we can sit on boxes, on e palate or on e floor..we will hav to unpack e boxes of books, price tag them then pack them in again..and books are not light..luckily we got alot more guys than girls..

our lunch time is not exactly wad we look forward to the most cos it is basically juz for eating..no time to even chitchat..bus leaves at 12.30 sharp n we reach places (differ fr day to day) in ard 10mins time where we gotta chiong to buy food..by 1.10pm we hav to start walking back to dropping off points where buses will pick us up..
it's really amazing how fast popular staff can eat..really..by the time we bought our food they are alr half way thru their meal..some even got time to shop n smoke..zai right?
i suffering fr indigestion at this rate of us eating lo..

going home (if no OT and we leave punctually at 5.30) will hav buses too..one to amk one to bedok n one to JE..sadly i got OT tmr n fri till 8pm..i hope i wun be too sehed tmr night >.<

PS: interestingly out of the 11 of us..besides me n nana being major in chinese another guy is fr NUS chinese too..same yr somemore haha..mayb i will see him when i go nus for exchange..he is in linguistic course =)

the late notice....

I got selected to go NUS!! juz when i tot i gonna have a headache over wad chinese modules to take in ntu then i received e email fr sch..(ok la they sent fri but i went out the whole day n din check until now)

now i am abit confused...cos i was supposed to send supporting documents to NUS by 30th June after i get e approval fr sch..but now..the sch approve me late..so do i still hav to send e documents over? then since i alr chose 5modules to take in ntu so i guess going nus is juz to take one chinese linguistics module and hope tat it doesn't clash with any of my other lessons..(i pray tat one falls on my free day-Mon)

i will try to get the details clear before subj registration in my sch starts nxt wk..(my mio coming nxt wk too ^^)

Update: Resorted to buying 2exp using A cash today..so it's 4exp during 2-4 n 8-10...so i now half way to lv 44 now..congrats n 2exp gonna end on 4th july haiz.but since i will be starting work in 2 days' time (or effectively 29hrs' time) ..i hope i still got e energy to play >.<

Food poisoned...

bleahz long time nv fall sick..nv to expect i will suddenly get food poisoned yest..
was vomitting n diarrhoea whole night long..fr 2.30 am all the way till near 6am..hardly been able to catch any sleep cos my gastric pain was warning me i gonna vomit again..

even after throwing up my dinner e vomitting din stop..my whole body like discharging all e fluids inside and at a point i was thinking whether i will be dehydrated..din even dare to drink water cos i juz couldn't swallow...until 6am i was feeling too dizzy n i remained "bedridden" until 1pm..din manage to eat anything today..so jialat..

juz went to see doc..she so fu yan me..knocked ard my stomach (but i dun feel pain) then gave her prescription..ok la i am bizarre myself..i juz drank an ice cold packet of grass power that sent me to feel nauseous..mayb somehow e combi dun go well tog..bleahz i will nv drink tat again..it's far too sweet too >.<

Updates

been chiong maple for 2 whole weeks now..really mei tian mei ye..my meals all pushed back..bfast becomes lunch..lunch becomes dinner..dinner becomes supper..(but since i dun eat bfast, i finished my lunch at 4pm..) today diff tho..cos i got a job interview at 3.30pm so i gonna chiong level up before i go out..hence e motivation to wake up..

now going to level 37 spearman..if everything goes well..i will be working in toh guan starting nxt wk..hence my maple days will be disrupted..so since congrats oso ending this fri..i need to level as much as i can before this miserable warrior cant hit anything w my lousy accuracy..

btw...sorry to disappoint my nus friends..i yet to receive any letter of approval fr NTU to go NUS..the deadline is ending this fri so chances are low..ntu got a cok up system..at least shld inform us tat we are not selected or wad..instead of making us wait blindly n frantically as e deadline drew near.. haiz..so if tat's e case.i will be staying in NTU taking 6 subj..(lucky i alr made it into a 4day wk)

Ever since i feel e exam stress i will tend to do stupid stuff which i normally will mock n say i will nv do it...like now i am hooked to maple which i chiong to level 20 since wed (eve of exam)..i started earlier but i put the wrong stats to my character so i recreate anyone in Bootes..

Rem i was juz watching my 19 year old sister in law? her name was jung da-bing ( or sth like tat)..she was e lead actress in tat show..even tho i think she was not v pretty but at least her acting skills was pretty good...

Yayy...results are getting better every sem..
or izit i took more modules other than my major tat's y i can score? I gotten 3B+ 1 A- n 1 B-...yup i think my 301 sux..i actually attempted one question 25% which even knowing which poem it was referring to and juz wrote a short essay ab it..power right? tat's why i got B- haha...other than tat i happy tat i could get an A for bilingualism..my proj really did help me alot i guess..e other linguistics module n socio din get A abit saded la..at least more possible to pull up my gpa..

i am one small step closer to my 2nd class upper gpa haha..kinda pathetic grades huh..my chinese major modules juz sux lo..i am lousy at writing essay..keep wondering how come i am in tat major..mayb i will do better in science subj ( i shall aim to do well in forensic haha)..good luck to my friends who got their results back too..

Korean Oral Test

The most happening event today is definitely my Korean oral..it was conducted outside e classroom where e rest of us waited for our turns in e classroom..we were all so noisy(lucky e room is sound-proof) as we were all super nervous..we learnt so many forms for speaking korean..diff verb ending for diff verbs..bleah i think i screwed them up by juz anyhow say..gotta read a super long passage too..was still quite fluent in front then as more n more unfamilar words popped up..my words get all so cui..chopped them up in so many places..haha..

There's one guy super power in my class..power in e sense tat since he SU-ed e module..he gave up e passage half way n told e teacher "u oso dun wan me to continue right?" but since e following questions were based on e passage (yes we gotta read n comprehend e passage n rem e details juz by reading once!!) i think he gonna screw tat up v badly..but thanks for pushing us up e grades then aha..i hope more ppl SU-ed in other classes haha...

I was number 10 today n becca was 12 so i waited for her then we walked all e way to can A to buy fries n ice cream as e rest waited..lucky we went..oral took up most of e time today n we still got listening test too..tot we can go back early but still ended at normal time..

My New Lappie!!

haha i am using my new lappie to blog now..sua ku as i am but i am adapting well to the keypad as i am used to type using desktop keyboard..only the numbers are more troublesome..

my brand new lappie is acer aspire series 5583 wxmi (d)
it has:
1.66 ghz, 14.1 inch screen, nvidia geforce, 120bg hdd, dvd drive 1gb ram, wireless lan n in-built blue tooth, battery life 4-5hrs
uses window vista home premium and has a 1.3 megapix webcam..
pretty cool huh..has e basics of everything..

wad are its shortcomings are its weight is 2.4kg and prob its design is too common..

but all these for 1598nett is quite a good bargain..comparing with the school model..this is $100 more w advanced features..i went for pc for 4 times and it dropped 200bucks when i bought the lappie at the last 3hrs..i got freebies like headphone with a mike, 2gb flash drive, extended 2yrs local warranty( i can choose 120gb or 250gb external hard drive- since hard drive are getting cheaper now i decided to go for warranty instd)..

after tots:
pc fair 2007 is really one tat is like going for war..esp i went everyday cos i need to research on various lappies avail..cant stay inside for more than an hour..cos even with my height i will feel suffocated..(i wonder the little kid on his father's shoulder was actually sleeping or passed out >.<)..even with e strong air con everyone is sweating away cos it's so damn packed inside..

the most pressurizing was the last min mad rush to get e products..like we had succumbed to them cos it's e final 7 sets of samsung lcd tv going at 999...but still tho it's an impulse buy..it's a really good bargain..cos with 999 it includes 3 yr warranty and installment with no extra charges..oh and it's 32inches wide..check outside now..hardly any lcd tv is below 1000bucks..we were looking for 27" but it was 949..so tat was a trick to make us buy tat TV!!
oh well..at least i dun hav to fight the tv with my niece haha..

lastly..there's a lucky draw where u gotta line up at level 1 to exchange for coupons..$50 for one..as we bought alot..so we got like a stack of coupons to tear la..one kind person (or shld i say overly rich guy) gave us his 4000+ receipt la..i cross my fingers for e lucky win!!

S06 May Babies Gathering

Haha damn glad to see so many ppl turned up today..tho some din manage to make it..
Ppl who came are jer, zy, wh, fab, zr, ck, yx, hf, zh, yf, th, bw..
It was juz super lame with those guys..the usual jokes were e "gays" in our class..esp our class is dominated by mainly guys..since me n hf n yx are "family relationship" (yx my twin n hf my daughter) so the gay relations is esp complicated today..(zy->jer, wh, yf and jer->wh) haha..too bad ss n alvin not ard n nat is not ard to les w hf...complicated class haha..

we had the super ultra chocolatey Chocolate indulgence from secret recipe..many thanks to yf who took the pains to order and collect the cake..the cake is nice but it's juz too much choco n we all had ultra big slice each..

then we proceeded to go suntec cos i insisted on checking out the PC fair at level 6..it was ultra packed n e floor was littered w alot of brochures and i almost tripped on some plastic..i juz took a few brochures fr e famous few brands like fujitsu, acer, toshiba, sony then siam outside..went to find e rest at the book fair, which in contrast, had much fewer ppl instd..met jy who was there grabbing money haha..no la he was working at the fair for a few days...apparently he was damn bored too..spent the last hr chatting at starbucks before we went home..now topics all turned to uni talk n office talk..haha..

I think we shld be organising ktv session n badminton session soon..but i having exam so hope they will plan it haha..so S06 peeps stay tuned for more outings!!

my korean classes have been getting more n more difficult..
sadly we are not learning wad we call useful phrases..like how much is that thing..you know the things tat are supposed to be useful for us as tourists..but now left 4 lessons to go i doubt we can cover much..but teacher is v nice so i hope my brain works hard enough to rem all those phrases..too old to learn languages..we are all 18yrs overdue..(optimal age is 3)

Butt-ache XD

Went to cycle at ECP today..it was super ultra nice cooling weather even tho it's 1pm in the afternoon..it was high tide and i juz feel totally close to e sea and e breeze is juz great..we went from mac side to big splash that end then turned back to go food ctr for a drink..then went past all e way to bedok jetty where i took some artisitic shots and cycled all e way to safra chalet..

we went pretty far out n i was abit tired n my butt starting to hurt..gotta rush back to mac n return bike within 25min is quite a challenge (we took 30min)..e wind is getting stronger to be more of a resistance than comfortable..
by the time i got off my bike..i couldn't really walk in a straight line..legs nua alr..cycled for full 2hrs..my butt is hurting and hope my thighs dun decide to ache altogether tmr bleahz..

sth interesting happened on e way..someone thrice nearly ram into me..tho i was riding in a straight line..that someone also got a bee smacked in e face, only rides in a S-shaped..

Donut Factory

Did sth very out of the kind today..was juz saying it's crazy to queue up 2hrs for juz donuts but i went early to queue up today at raffles city..
went ard 10.15am (it opens at 12.30pm) n alr got ppl queueing in front of me..some din know tat it opens at 12.30 so went off half way..i was in 4th place..
prepared myself w MP3 n the latest i-mag to read as i stand..haiz why dun let ppl sit down on the floor?! my legs so tired now..

someone still late lo..reached only the time we placed orders..actually cos they open 20mins earlier..lucky someone else came and queue with me for one hr or else i cant buy 2.5 dozens with e lack of cash..as one person max can buy 2 dozens then e person late still got big order lo..

I tried 4 flavours and all very nice..(except spicy cheese which tastes abit like pizza haha) Special recommendation: Apple cinnammon, double choco and hazelnut milk choco..actually all those with dark choco taste damn nice..
the determining factor of the donuts is the way they make it..it's very light in taste so u wun feel sick of eating after one..in fact u can eat alot!! apple cinnammon is very light n refreshing!! great as a snack =)

Haiz it's damn sad one lo..my mind used to fill with so many plans to go these places(1st apply HK 2nd apply Korea) then in the end all cannot go..i guess qiuyi is feeling as awful as me..cos we planned alot from the start..we checked up every possible cheapest air tix, accommodation and even expenditure etc cos we hav a rather tight budget..then all in all it's so wasted..

The Worst is OVER!!

Dun be mistaken tat my papers are all over..
I still got 2 more papers to go and they are the better ones to study this sem..
i think Bilingualism and Sociology are my fav modules for this sem as Chinese Major modules juz sux to the core..

When I tot 250 was crappy tat it is so ambiguous..i din expect 301 to be tat...erm..cant find the right word..but u know..e dreadful feeling once u read thru the questions la..i got no idea how i managed to finish the whole paper..effectively i only wrote ab 1 page per 25mark..(tat's average for me actually)..i was juz basically copying down wad i had on my handwritten help sheet as the NUS ppl would call it..

Another interesting thing is every sem we tend to hav one core module tat allows us to bring in one sided or two-sided paper in..so we will cramp the words v v small in order to squeeze more content in..i tell u..i copied the words so small it shrank from 4mm per word to average 2mm per word..and mind u, it's chinese characters ok..

Tutor said I am one of the few who can write well..muahahaha so proud of myself..

Assignments done!!

I cant gurantee the quality of my assignments as i hav look thru them for the whole wk and it's numbing my senses to judge whether my report is coherent or not..

I hav finally finished 250, 301 and 101..even printed a page cover for the portfolio..
but there's very few things inside..hmm will double check before i pass up..

exams exams..less than 9days to prepare for 3 papers on 17th, 19th, 20th..
especially i slept thru 301 and dun understand 301 n 250..really courting death..
gonna be super busy and seh-ed with revision soon..i got so many notes to go thru!!

ahhh..gonna get crazy alr..
wish all my friends good luck with the assignments and stay healthy till the end of exams!!

PS: I gonna keep my fingers crossed for my special sem module and my application for GSS korea >.<

Horrified experience

I was juz catching a nap on the sofa..
prob i was too tired as i slept very late for the whole wk..
my sofa is tat kind tat will make it sink in easily and hard to get up..

nevertheless

I cant wake myself up!!
In my sub-conscious I heard the TV sound and i wanna wake up to watch..
but i was in such a deep sleep mode tat i cant move my whole body at all..
it was like lead and i cant even open my eyes..
I was waving my hands wildly in my sub-conscious but i cant move an inch..

tat's so so scary..for a moment i tot i would not wake up again..
like in coma O.O
freaked myself out...guess i am too too tired..
nxt time i will sleep somewhere else :(

To others who do not know and quite hard to find out..

I pierced my ears!!
On last sat..nth like wad miss alien said tat it's a super hard pinch or a very big ant bite
frankly e first ear she pierced i got no feeling at all..the nxt one is only a small pinch..
dun trust her words..either her tolerance of pain is very low or the person that she went to sux..
i rather think it's the first case wahaha...

since i got very fleshy earlobes..i gotta wear the stubbs (how to spell 0.0) for 2-3 months
tat thing costs me 160 so leaving me very broke..sobs..

lucky the crazy march is almost over..

Theatre Idols Finals

Went to Esplanade Concert Hall to watch this free play by the final 2 playwrights, where they present their scripts by nearly the same actors reading them out on the stage with minimum actions..

I think the first one was Flying kites on a Sunday and the Second on was Women hitting (on) Women..the first one was less stressful as the plot is simpler and the morale of the story is more obvious..whereas the 2nd one was much much confusing..jumping around and you muz pay attention very carefully to piece the whole story together..both plays used alot of local jokes, less political (cos Mrs Goh C T was the GOH) and the amusing ones are those regarding religion..

There are some parts particularly amusing and i hope i got it right..
The lead actress was telling her ex-gf (they were lesbians) sth like why abortion rates were higher in Catholic schs than Methodist schs are bcos Catholics taught them these are Sins whereas Methodists are hush-hush about it and tried to hide the fact that it ever exist.

Then one part where the lead actress went to consult the young female counsellor when she was in a dilemma ab being a lesbian and in her low points in life..

she asked the counsellor: "why are u a christian?"
Counsellor: he he he he (uneasiness)
Actress: why do u believe in god?
Counsellor: well...my whole family is christian tat's y i am christian he he he he(uneasiness)
Actress: So if you are borned into a Buddhist family u will be a Buddhist?
Counsellor: ......(looking up uneasy) he he he....how can you say tat?!

Kinda interesting isnt it? questions the fact of following your family in a religion...
makes my bf laugh even haha..


The winning script is Women hitting (on) Women which will be staged in esplanade nxt month i think..it's really worth watching..but prepared to be real attentive..not recommended if you are mentally drained XD

PS: Was sitting right in front of my linguistics profs la..then saw quah..how big a coincidence is tat? haiz...

The Last Moments of my Childish days~

Counting down 45min to becoming 21..
it's really no big deal gaining another age
but it seems like i really have to grow up..think more and be more responsible..
I always do things stubbornly in my way..but i guess time to pay more attention to those i took for granted..

I am glad that till this far I suffered not many setbacks and i long forgotten the unhappiness..
I am happy that I hav many good friends ard me..always there to laugh and play w me,
super nice teachers who guided me and helped me in my ways..

I feel wealthy having all these assets..not being very rich juz makes me wanna give my parents a good life too..seeing them exhausted after preparing steamboat for my relatives..
we finally worked hard as a family..guess i am still their darling daughter after all..

I love everyone...truly grateful

I feel blessed =)

Yu Sheng~~!!

Woohoo~ today ate my first yu sheng of e yr..
i really like to eat yusheng now..aiyo those office gals are so demure n tame..
unlike e craziness and chaos tat normally occurred when we youngsters lao yusheng..then most ridiculous of all..they dun even snatch e crackers! tat's normally wad we aimed for haha..
so i happily got alot of crackers and salmon(tho not v fresh-i recommend ichiban yusheng) to eat other than e buffet lunch tat was provided in office today..got nice ebi fry! eat until so shuang..

i beginning to crave for ichiban yusheng again..mayb i shld go buy this wk hmm..their salmon so nice!! other than the nice nice food( i save my lunch expenses) i am doing quite boring updating again..haha..then work keep coming so my actual work is pushed back..which is better cos i dun like calling ppl up to ask for info..later gonna decorate office wahaha..

In Office

Hello..talking to myself in office..
cos i wanna slack and dun wan to ask for more work..i shall pretend to be busy n update my blog muahaha..cos i tend to get lazy and tired at home..

Called numerous ppl to update their particulars in e data base then finished up what I left undone haha..ard 300+ names to check..so now I finished alr and dun feel like doing more stupid tasks hah..the working environment here is good la..ppl all v nice then i got a proper computer to surf as n when i am bored ( e guys still download anime la) ..so sometimes they slack i do work..then today i slack they doing work..

Juz submitted my GSS application form today..yest was super cok up then i cant submit despite i tried whole night..but a small blunder..i put e wrong slot for my 3rd choice uni..going in july instd of june..haha but shouldn't affect much..in fact this allows me to work longer n earn more money..prob i can afford to buy a lappie with my own money..wish I got big big hongbao this yr muahaha..then all struck lottery and give me money!! >.< paiseh abit money-crazy now..

projects coming up.. so scary..i gonna start to pia early..or else gotta suffer e wk after my bdae..

How come things zoom so fast this sem?

Time really zooms past like a flash..
nxt wk is alr the 5th wk of my sem and nearly half way thru..
now is feb and mar will be when reports due and april will be exam period!!

goodness me..i barely had time to pace myself for lessons which i am constantly reading notes for pending or lagging notes (excluding hc250) and now i need to start on my project which needs research..i barely know wad Ms tall is teaching and soon it will be mid term test..how great is tat huh?

For e past few weeks, other than trying to settle in w e usual hustle at e start of term..i am busy looking up n doing research on chalets and e upcoming application for GSS..it's juz so chaotic..
tho i am hardly qualified to call myself stressed with my workload compared to engineering students..but still..i am super tired!! i am alr ready for a break >.< (but i think i cant cos i need to go grab money as in to work and earn more money if i ever get selected for GSS HK) and by e time i get back..it will be another hectic sem all over again..

it's gonna be a "happening" 2007..but pls blessed me with more good luck!!

Remember I mentioned that my niece's cousin, who was same age as her, had cancer and even amputate her leg?

She did manage to hold on for a couple of days and went home.
But she was bidding for her time..
Barely even 12..She passed away this wed..

Tho I dunno her personally but i feel very sad when i heard e news..
such an intelligent gal..so young.but she din even manage to take her PSLE..
felt like crying XS

After spending 4.5months in Taiwan for INSTEP, they are finally back haha..it really seems as tho they juz left for Taiwan not long ago..but so poor thing..both fall sick during the last 2wks..still tot nana will put on weight..goodness u are so skinny!! no wonder u hate me when i post photos on food..i promise to bring u eat good food k! as for becca..u are finally back!! i dun hav to go for socio lec n tut alone ::weeps:: time to plan some kbox session soon yayy!!

speaking for kbox..i din go to the one with pq,yf,qy,wt n qy's bf..partly to save money and partly cos i am so so so tired!! i juz napped for 2.5hrs with a funny headache bleah..muz be the weather finally getting into me haha..i juz bought 2 pairs of shoes yesterday..time to scrimp n save more le >.< esp gotta deduct sch fees again weH~~~

the day i saw steph sun....

today i saw steph sun in a mini shop in far east plaza cos jas were trying on some clothes..we were out looking for prez n oso to shop ourselves haha..place quite deserted so pretty shiok to shop..steph was inside e fitting room beside jas's..she asked her sis(i presume) to look n cos i sitting directly outside so when she opened abit to call her sis..she looked in my direction!!
yay she saw me!! for 2secs? o.O

ok la we din know she's there and deliberately go in..we were merely checking out e clothes..no wonder e lady boss looked funnily at me..tot i crazy fan sitting outside..but i was stunned to see her lo..i seriously respect public figure's privacy tho i really wanna get her autograph but the place and situation are too weird..a photo will be nice haha but still i din respond much..


i am a rational fan.


alot of shopkeepers came outside hoping to catch a glimpse at her..some even got their camera phone ready..but well..i shld let her enjoy some nice shopping in peace..

anw i bought a pretty nice bronze-coloured bag at 19.90..quite a bargain haha..tmr shall look for a nice pair of shoes =)

First day of work~

This is my first job in 2007..pay is pathetic considering i work only one full day per wk..
ahh..cheat me!! tot can earn at least 70bucks a wk..sobs! shld hav taken up e slack job at chinese heritage instd..

today kuku me went e long yet wrong way to find the NY executive ctr where alumni affairs office is located..muz be e lack of sleep which caused me to miss e signboard totally and went off in e wrong way..tat road is alr near jln bahar entrance and ulu, full of grass patch..my feet and hands were attacked by ants n spider webs..silly me still tot tat those faraway buildings are e ctr..
my feet were breaking due to walking such a long distance in heels (tho quite low) i finally gave up and lucky a cab came so i hailed it and made a U-turn back..it's juz where i initally alighted juz further in out-of-sight fr the main road..felt like slapping myself for being act smart..e taxi uncle happy lo..cos this kuku paid $4.70 juz making a turn in NTU ($2.50+$2peak hr charge)..so basically i only used 20c =.='''

i was 15mins late..tho i was early by 20mins


after tat thinking i am doing data entry..i ended up checking simple typing errors in the long list of alumni names..it's a torture to keep staring at the com..moreover at an excel spreadsheet..i was practically yawning my whole morning away (partly cos i cant find the coffee to drink in e pantry)..freezing room with all the temps working in it..after lunch we started a production line to send out packaged envelopes..only then more interactions with e rest of the guys..well not bad..we can slack on the job sometimes to rest our eyes, make coffee or go toilet..e senior temps using msn even..the reception in tat room is quite terrible tho..hard to send out sms..
all in all..it's still quite slack..juz v sian..my main challenge is how not to fall asleep on the job haha..

oh well..till nxt tue then i work again..can rest haha..
yup nxt time will not wear heels..burst a big blister again bleahz..
i shall wear smart casual..which is casual cos i'm smart hah =P

Thank goodness that i got everything back..
everything intact..even my passport-sized photo which i put as spare (doubt anyone will be interested to destroy haha)

All the butt ache is worth it as i travelled an hour to the terminal and asked the office..think they were expecting me..immediately asked me to fill up a form n show ic..wahaha i practically cannot believe my eyes lor..muz thank the 124 uncle for picking it up n din kope my photo n kbox card..erm i mean my cashcard..

This start of the year is already so damn happening..appeal for exam result(but failed), timetable kena messed up, new high-lighter n hair clip going missing and then my ez-link card matric card dropped..
but other than my high-lighter n hair clip still missing..all are solved now..
so i dunno if i heng or wad..

well..i suddenly feel happiness is when a lost cause is found =D

First Week of School~

My first week of school is very tiring..cos i have to settle alot on my timetable..
like going school damn early to wait for vacancies then go for lessons..not to mention all my subj are not exactly light..I am taking linguistics: system n structure, bilingualism, chinese lexicology, Modern Chinese Lit, sociology:person n society, and the craft of writing..but lucky i got everything settled by this wk..now left buying of textbooks..

i am pretty seh-ed n sian now..cos juz 2hrs ago i lost my clear folder where i keep my ez-link card, matric card, cashcard together..so e whole package was lost..since it's quite late so i did wad i can like making online report. Tmr i think i will hav to make a trip down to St Michael Terminal to see if I can find my cards back..wad a day to end today..

as if i got nothing else to get busy with..lucky thing is some cards i keep in wallet..those important ones..now i juz feel like sleeping..haiz..seh-ed

I really dunno wad to say...frustrated and utterly feel like killing myself and feel like burning the office of undergraduates..it's so irritating seriously..AAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok to understand why i feel so frustrated..muz understand 2 points:
one..i put my 2 linguistics modules under waitlist and yet i got kicked out when there are still vacancies..stupid right?

two, so i wanna add them back today..which is e slot of yr 2 to register..there are still places to go in..BUT

the bloody F***ing system do not allow me to go register!! why? cos i am apparently promoted to yr 3 one sem earlier as I accumulated enough AUs for it..and why I got to know only today?
The F***ing undergrad office claims that we ought to be aware of such arrangements and still wish us good luck..
